Mexico Modern Colonial Architecture contemplates the use of traditional materials such as adobe, mud roofing tiles, wood and the cuarry (cantera) used on columns, patios and the frames on doors and windows.
The same way modern colonial homes contemplate the construction of balconies with colonial ironwork and central patios in which you can enjoy the sunset or the warmth of the sun in the mornings.
The kitchen and bathrooms usually have finishes with Talavera Cortez tile, hand painted sinks besides the artistic carpentry work which is made in local carpentry shops.
Here we have a photographic sample of the materials used today for the construction of colonial style homes.
